Pregnancy After Struggle To Conceive

by Laura

At age 32 and 6 years of marriage, I thought it would take one or two months to conceive. But I was so wrong! Six months later it still hadn't happened for us, and I was getting really depressed and feeling like such a failure. I kept thinking I was pregnant with all the pregnancy symptoms (I thought), but I was never pregnant.

I was on the contraception patch for about three years and had been off for about a year when we started trying.

Just tonight I got my BFP! I can hardly believe it! I give God praise!

I surprised my husband by putting the positive pregnancy test on his pillow. He had no idea, and it was one of the best moments of my life. He broke down and cried, as did I.

I just want to to encourage anyone out there - I know the despair of seeing so many pregnant women and feeling jealous or like I was missing out and failing somehow. Don't give up if it takes longer than you thought it would. If it happened for me, it can happen for you too. Baby dust to you all! Keep praying and trusting God!
