Ovulation Predicting

by Anonymous

I'm 42 years old. Can I still get pregnant? My cycle is 27 days long. How can I determine when I'm ovulating? When can I determine when to have sex?

You Can Get Pregnant at 42
by: Sally

Yes, it is possible for you to get pregnant at 42. I got pregnant at ages 39 and 41 and brought both pregnancies to full term with no complications.

The length of your cycle doesn't necessarily determine when you ovulate, which is a common misconception. I recommend using several different ovulation predictor methods in order to determine when you're ovulating and thus when to have sex.

The methods I used were basal body temperature (BBT) charting, ovulation predictor kits (OPK's), and cervical mucus observation.

Using several different methods will help you to better understand your cycle and know the best times to have intercourse.

I go into detail on this page about these different methods and how to implement them.
