Ovulation Bleeding & Pregnancy

Can you still fall pregnant if you have ovulation bleeding? My concern is that perhaps the sperm die in the blood and don't make it to the fallopian tubes? I only bleed lightly in ovulation, although the bleeding in ovulation does not occur every month.

Ovulation Blood
by: Sally

Ovulation bleeding is very common and should not affect the viability of the sperm. I believe that this bleeding occurs after the egg has ruptured. It should be only slight bleeding. If you notice enough bleeding to fill a pad, you may want to check with your physician to see if something else is going on. Also, don't confuse ovulation bleeding with implantation bleeding, which would occur about two weeks after ovulation.

Hope that helps!
