Birth Control For Period Regulation

by Concerned
(Canada)

I went off of the pill last year and have not had a period on my own in about 10 months. This is my second month of trying Clomid, and the process the doctor prescribed was to take the pill for 10 days, stop and wait for a period. That would be day 1. Then on day 5 - 9 to take Clomid, etc.

The first month, I got my period 5 days after I stopped taking the BC pill. This month, I am 7 days since I stopped and havent gotten one yet?

What is the range of time that this should take place? Should I be worried yet? I feel most of the normal PMS symptoms but still nothing.

Drugs for Menstruation

I don't know in what time frame you can expect the drugs to work for you.

I am, however, concerned that taking these drugs may bring about more harm than good for you.

In my opinion, using drugs to correct a condition such as a missed period is not the way to go. This is just covering up what's really going on.

Something hormonal is causing you to not have a period. Taking birth control pills will probably not solve the underlying problem even if your period does start.

Personally, I would stop all drugs and try to get your body detoxified by drinking plenty of water, exercising, and eating lots of fruits and vegetables. Get yourself as healthy as possible and see what happens.

Stress, being overweight or underweight, and continually putting toxins such as drugs and pesticides into your body can mess up your hormones and get your whole body out of balance.
