Avoiding Miscarriage at 41

I am 41, fit, and healthy. I have 6 children ages 17 to 2 - all fine and healthy. My pregnancies resulted in infants all over 9lbs and one 10lbs. I have had 2 miscarriages in the past 10 months at 10 weeks and 16 weeks, the last one with massive blood loss with tranfusions. My periods are just settling now, and I'm ovulating, although my periods are ending with a few days of brown staining. Is it possible that I will have a full term pregnancy? Thanks for your time.

Yes - Very Possible NEW

Yes, carrying a pregnancy to term at your age is VERY POSSIBLE. I conceived my first son at age 39 and my second son at age 41 and carried both of them to term with no problems. I also had two miscarriages before they were conceived.

Read part I of my story.

Although miscarriages tend to be more common as a woman ages, it is still very possible to carry a baby to term. I believe taking a supplement called maca helped me greatly. It is a natural superfood from a root vegetable that helps to increase fertility and is supposed to improve egg quality, which is especially helpful for "advanced age" women.

Hope that helps!
